HighLevel's own MCP server

HighLevel MCP, newer v2 endpoint

The newer v2 HighLevel MCP endpoint is included with your account and exposes six meta tools that front a much larger operation set across roughly forty domains. It reads and acts across far more of the platform than the original, but it still cannot author a workflow. The only workflow operation reachable through it is a read.

Setting it up

How to set it up, and the thing that trips people up

Point your client at services.leadconnectorhq.com/mcp/{client}/v2 and authenticate by token or OAuth. OAuth gets the wider scopes, so if a tool looks missing on the token path, check that before you conclude it is broken.

Because it speaks OAuth, some clients that could not connect to the original endpoint can connect here. This is the endpoint to reach for when a custom header is the thing blocking you.

It exposes six meta tools rather than a long list, so seeing six after tools/list is correct here, not a fault. The client searches for an operation, reads its description, then executes it.

This is a quick overview, not a full step by step. Full setup for the Real Wave server is on realwave.com/mcp-server.

Where it stops

Where this one stops working

Same ceiling, wider floor. Six meta tools instead of a tool list, so it needs a smarter client.

This is the ceiling every option on this list that reads and acts runs into, and it belongs to the API rather than to this one project. Where free stops sets out why, with five dated sources you can open yourself.

Sponsored by Real Wave, which sells a paid GoHighLevel MCP server. It is on this list on the same terms as everything else and has no free tier.
The whole list, kept current

Keep the comparison.

Every option on this page, checked the same way, with the date each one was last looked at. It moves: licences change, repositories go quiet, and HighLevel ships things that move the wall. Leave an address and the changes come to you, instead of you re-checking every one of them yourself.

One email per change, with an unsubscribe link in every one. Real Wave pays for this list, so the address sits in Real Wave's system and is used for exactly this.
